At Bodhi Tree we welcome everyone regardless of age, gender, religious or cultural background, nationality, education or sexual orientation.

We ask for donations, rather than a specific charge, for all our groups and retreats. This is so that anyone, regardless of financial circumstances, can attend. This is our only source of income, and none of our trustees receive any payment.

Wherever possible the venues we use are wheelchair accessible, but please contact us before booking for a retreat or attending a group. Please also contact us if you have any other particular needs so that we can discuss ways of meeting them. Chairs are available at all of our venues.

We welcome feedback on how we can be more inclusive as this is a core value for us.

Mermaids has been supporting transgender, nonbinary and gender-diverse children, young people, and their families since 1995.

Back at the start, we were a small group of concerned parents sitting around the kitchen table, coming together to share experiences, find answers and look for ways to keep our children safe and happy.

Today, Mermaids has evolved into one of the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ charities, empowering thousands of people with its secure online communities, local community groups, helpline services, web resources, events and residential weekends.

We also seek to educate and inform wider society on gender identity by helping professionals accommodate and reassure gender-diverse young people.

The Sussex Beacon provides specialist care and support for people living with HIV. Our services promote independence and improve health and wellbeing by providing inpatient and outpatient services.

Our services are run from our centre in Brighton where we have a 10-bed inpatient unit, therapy rooms and larger rooms for group work. We also have a landscaped garden for patients and visitors to enjoy all year round. We aim to provide high-quality care and support in a friendly and homely environment.
