Mental Health

  • Mind

We provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.

    We are Mind

  • Mind Out

MindOut is a mental health service run by and for lesbians, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer people.

We work to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all LGBTQ communities and to make mental health a community concern.

  • Grassroots

We have lived experience of suicide. We know what it is like to be in crisis. We understand the pressure of trying to keep someone safe and the complex emotions including guilt, shock, and intense grief after a suicide.

We empower people to help save lives from suicide through connecting, educating, and campaigning nationally.

  • Mind out 50+

Our 50+ wellbeing project aims to respond to the support needs of people over 50, reduce social isolation often experienced by older LGBTQ people and develop intergenerational activities for older and younger people to meet, learn and support one another.

  • Sussex Rainbow Counselling

    Hi, I’m Chloe

As a Queer Woman I have personal experience of how it can feel to be judged by professionals.

I'm passionate about helping LGBTQ+ people - like you - have affirmative counselling which is why I founded Sussex Rainbow Counselling.

I believe it's essential to not have to worry about coming out and educating your counsellor about your identity.

  • NHS Sussex Mental Health

The Sussex Mental Healthline offers listening support, advice, information and signposting to anyone experiencing difficulties, or who may be in crisis and in urgent need of help, with their mental health.

The service is free and is available to anyone of any age who is concerned about their own mental health or that of a relative or friend. This includes carers and healthcare professionals.
